We try to make the first few weeks of working together completely transparent. Here's how it actually goes, from the moment you get in touch.
Hello.
Email or call to introduce yourself and the property. We'll read everything, look up the site, and reply within two working days, sometimes with questions, always with availability.
Site visit.
Free, on us, no obligation. An hour or so walking the property together to understand the brief, the building and the site. By the end we'll both know whether it's a fit.
We sign, and start to create.
A written proposal: scope, stages, fee, timeline. Once it's signed we begin drawing: sketch design, planning, building regulations, on to site. We stay involved the whole way through.

Are you architects?

We're an architectural practice. Jake White is a Chartered Architectural Technologist (MCIAT). For most residential extensions, retrofits and new builds in Sussex and Surrey, our scope and qualifications are exactly what's needed. Sometimes we work with Architects on projects where both parties benefit from one another's knowledge and experience.
Do you only work on residential projects?

Residential is our main focus. We do also take on select public and commercial projects, and we provide Visualisation and BIM co-ordination services directly to other architects on a variety of projects.
How much does it cost?

Fees vary with scope, complexity and what stage you bring us in at. Most of our residential projects fall into a percentage of construction cost, with a fixed fee for the early stages. We'll give you a clear written proposal after the first site visit.
How long does it take?

From first conversation to a submitted planning application is typically 8–14 weeks. Build start is usually around 2–4 months after that, depending on scale and complexity.

Across Mid Sussex (Haywards Heath, Cuckfield, Lindfield, Burgess Hill, Hassocks, Ditchling), the wider county (Brighton & Hove, Lewes, Horsham, East Grinstead, Crawley) and into Surrey (Dorking, Reigate, Godalming, Cranleigh, Haslemere).
